"The Children and Families Act 2014" is a law enacted in the United Kingdom in 2014. A young carer is defined as a person under the age of 18 who provides or intends to provide care for another person (unless the care is provided pursuant to a contract or as part of voluntary work). The law requires local governments to identify young carers and connect them with appropriate support.
